New Arcadia is unique among nations that it is entirely governed by scientists, as a result however, the city state is renowned for having powerful but unreliable experimental weaponry on nearly all of its troops.
The primary armament of most soldiers in the New Arcadian Armed Forces most soldiers are given a repeater of some constantly changing and updated design and caliber. The longest run weapon in the military was the Hydra-rapid-fire repeater, a semiautomatic .45caliber long colt short carbine that could hold ten rounds fed by stripper clips. This repeater only lasted as long as it did because at the time almost every scientist capable of submitting a design had thought they could improve upon the repeater and over four hundred designs had to be considered before it was replaced. As of yet the excess of prototype weapons means that most New Arcadian repeaters suffer a fault atleast once per magazine jamming the gun in one way or another. However, semi automatic weapons give the average NAAF Trooper significant firepower in the close quarters battles of trenches and armored corridors even if it may not be much help to them at range.
Those more careful about the weapon they use or that require a precision rifle are also subject to quite numerous weapons based on the rivalry of scientists for field testing, however they tend to pick a weapon and stick with it. Marksmens weapons tend to be powerful bolt action rifles made with very simple technology. The newest innovation becoming quite popular is bull pup, allowing the marksmen to have comparably short rifles that fit better in the cramped spaces of New Arcadian Architecture and transport craft.
New Arcadian transport vessels tend to be much heavier and more cramped than their counterparts in other nations. In order to use smaller and more armored hydrogen containers these zeppelins use numerous massive Heavy Earth Impregnated rotor blades to pull them towards the sky allowing quicker vertical maneuvering and smaller hydrogen cells but making the vessel much more reliant on it's numerous steam generators. These vessels are often just as prototype as the rest of NAAF equipment, however they are much more thoroughly thought out due to the significant investment the represent. As a result they tend to be well armed and often with experimental shield generators and fragile but potent repeating cannons.
New Arcadian Fighters are powered by impressive alcohol based turbine engines that give their small craft a unique howl and an immense speed. However the fighters are exceptionally poor at ground attack roles because of the speeds they reach, however, NAAF forces use them to attempt at air superiority in the hopes that their lightly armed and armored fighters will out match with speed and surprise and prevent the enemy from using air to dig out their soldiers.
New Arcadian Armored vehicles are quite spectacular as well, powered on alcohol turbines, these vehicles often have heavy weapons mounted centrally in them and are quite quick compared to steam powered equivalents but are extremely expensive and quite explosive when hit by similarly large calliber weapons. Without much open ground to control New Arcadia relies on infantry and emplaced weapons to cover their nation and uses armored units to instead delay attackers while air vessels bring in weapons to dig in at an ideal location. As result there are almost as many massive armored excavators in the NAAF as there are tanks.
The NAAF Navy is almost non existent, and only those vessels that can be carried by a carryall zeppelin are ever deployed (though some scientists have developed designs for large vessels). The largest vessels are their own carryall and are quite fragile for their size because they support all of the equipment to go airbound using antigravity technology and massive generators. These vessels cannot use their best weapons while flying however, because their top heavy design will tip the vessels over more often than not, or worse yet, stall out the anti gravity generators.
