Hearth is a world without oil or coal, and because of this it has gone many millennial trapped in a cycle of kings, city states, and scattered peoples. However, the discovery of heavy earth as a power source is now rending the world with it's changes.

Forum Rules

1) We don’t expect your characters to get along all the time. However, out of character all members should at least be civil to each other. Any disputes between members should be handled through private messages, not on the public forums. If you are not comfortable solving the dispute or need someone to step in you may private message an administrator (Triss or Rien)

2) In order to participate in roleplay, a complete character profile should be submitted to the Characters forum. The title of the post should be the character’s name. When you submit the profile it goes into a pending status to be reviewed by a mod. If there's a need for revisions or clarifications you will recieve a pm. Once approved, your character profile will appear in the Characters forum, and you can begin roleplaying with that character.

3) General rules of grammar apply. Please at least run a basic spell check and read through your posts to make sure they are easy to understand and don’t have too many glaring errors. We’re not worried about perfection, just that posts are easy to read and understand.

4) We do not limit the content of posts. This is a warning to anyone who is offended by or is not comfortable with mature situations (violence, sex, drug use, etc). It is your responsibility as a member to know what you are and are not comfortable with. You are not being made to read anyone else’s’ roleplay, if you don’t like it, don’t read it. In any roleplay you’re involved in, it is your responsibility to communicate with your partner(s) if the story is beginning to approach a situation you aren’t comfortable with.

5) Though we are not policing your roleplays for content, every post should further a story. Whether it’s the story of a few characters doing something together, or furthering your character’s personal story, every post should move things forward.

6) On a similar note, we DO NOT permit fluid time. That means that a character may only participate in one thread at a time. You are encouraged to plot a thread out before hand in the planning area, and at least have a rough idea of what characters are going to be involved and what’s going to happen. Threads should come to a close in a reasonable amount of time so your character can be free to go off and do other things.
